Valve opens Steam Controller blueprints for DIY add-ons
Valve has released CAD files (.STP/.STL) and engineering diagrams for the Steam Controller and Puck under a non-commercial Creative Commons license that requires attribution and sharing of designs. The files enable modders to create accessories (skins, stands, grips) while keeping signal-friendly areas unobstructed; commercial use may be negotiated with Valve. This follows Valve’s pattern of releasing hardware blueprints for its devices to the community.
