
Subnautica 2 devs defend non-violence, promise tweaks to creature encounters
Unknown Worlds says Subnautica 2 will stay true to a non-violent core, while promising patches to improve creature encounters by adjusting aggression timing, aggro ranges, flare usefulness, and tool/vehicle interactions, in order to keep encounters fair, readable, and engaging. They acknowledge requests for direct combat and note mods will let players kill creatures, but reiterate the game’s design direction and that changes will focus on making non-violent play feel more satisfying.
