Kent teen linked to deadly Chelan Hills Fire; charged with arson and manslaughter
An 18-year-old from Kent was arrested in connection with the Chelan Hills Fire near Orondo, which burned about 10,000 acres, damaged homes and injured firefighters; a dead man found in a vehicle has been identified as 69-year-old Robert Lister. Investigators believe the fire may have started with fireworks. The suspect faces first-degree manslaughter, first-degree arson, first-degree malicious mischief, and six counts of third-degree assault and has been booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center; the investigation includes a reward totaling $30,000 for information.
