Framework BIOS update bricks Ryzen 7040 Framework Laptop 13, offering out-of-warranty replacements and Crisis Recovery Mode
Framework says a small percentage of BIOS updates for the Ryzen 7040-based Framework Laptop 13 render boards non-bootable. It’s investigating the root cause, will replace some out-of-warranty AMD mainboards where a stable BIOS caused the failure, and is introducing Crisis Recovery Mode to recover failed updates.
