
La Gradiva Clinches Critics’ Week Top Prize at Cannes
French debut La Gradiva by Marine Atlan won the Ami Paris Grand Prize in Cannes Critics’ Week, a program that showcased 11 features and 10 shorts from 1,050 submissions, opening with In Waves and closing with Adieu Monde Cruel; the jury was led by Payal Kapadia. Other prizes included the Louis Roederer Foundation Rising Star Award for Aina Clotet’s Viva, the Gan Foundation Award for Distribution to Zou Jiung’s A Girl Unknown, the SACD Award for Best Screenplay to Blerta Basholli and Nicole Borgeat for Dua, the Sony Discovery Prize for Short Film to Skinny Boots, and the Canal+ Award for Short Film to Vaterland.
