AHS Season 13 Reunites Cast for Crossover, but Critics Split on Quality

American Horror Story Season 13 premiered on September 24, 2026, with three episodes on FX and Hulu. The season reunites core stars including Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, and Sarah Paulson in a crossover narrative centered on a mysterious figure named Mr. Nas and a portal to hell. While the ensemble cast and return to a campy tone have drawn praise from some critics, others argue the plot remains incoherent and overly reliant on fan service. The season is structured as a 13-episode finale to the franchise's current era, with a weekly rollout schedule concluding on October 29.

Skins Over Stories: Fortnite’s Crossovers Blur Canon and Sell Nostalgia

An opinion piece argues Fortnite’s crossovers, notably with Kingdom Hearts, illustrate a branding dilemma: turning beloved characters into purchasable in-game skins blurs their canon and reduces them to marketing props rather than living identities. Citing examples like SEGA’s android Sonic, Disney’s restrained use of Mickey, and Coca-Cola’s AI-driven ads, the piece contends that when brands loosen character control for hype, fans lose trust and franchises risk dilution—the result being a hollowed-out perception of the characters once tied to richer narratives.
