Robinhood Launches 24/7 Trading and AI Agents to Rival Institutional Firms
Robinhood announced at its HOOD Summit in Houston that it is expanding trading hours to 24/7 for select U.S. equities starting next year and introducing AI-powered trading agents. The platform now offers crypto perpetual futures and automated tools powered by OpenAI and Anthropic models to its 29 million users. CEO Vlad Tenev stated the goal is to provide retail investors with capabilities previously reserved for hedge funds and quant firms, shifting competition from low costs to speed and automation.
