Nvidia has introduced software to accelerate the development of artificial intelligence and next-generation chip-making, including cuLitho software library that improves computational lithography, and a bevy of artificial-intelligence products for businesses. Third-party foundry TSMC and electronic design company Synopsys will be using the library, and chip-equipment maker ASML will work with Nvidia to integrate support for graphics processing units on their lithography software. The software uses Nvidia's chips to speed up the step that sits between the software-based design of a chip and the physical fabrication of the lithography masks used to print that design on a piece of silicon. Nvidia said it is working with ASML Holding, Synopsys, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co to bring the technology to market. TSMC will start readying the technology for production in June.
