EA’s The Sims Team announces a base-game patch for Aug 25 delivering the first wave of free content and prepping for two Capsule Kit drops, with mods/CC likely affected. Back up your saves and use the 50/50 method to test mods, as this is not a QoL update (that patch is planned for September). The update also teases plus-size clothing and star hair ahead of the Capsule Kit releases, plus a few crash fixes.

Epic Games has released Unreal Editor For Fortnite (UEFN), a UE5-powered version of the game’s Creative mode, which is now in beta form. UEFN is improving Creative mode by adding several of Unreal 5’s features, making it a full-on Roblox-style custom game editor. Epic is also revising how they compensate creators with Creator Economy 2.0. These updates bring Epic one step closer to its vision of a connected metaverse.
