Boeing is investigating a cyber incident that affected its parts and distribution business, following a ransom threat from the Lockbit cybercrime gang. The gang claimed to have stolen sensitive data from Boeing and threatened to release it if a ransom was not paid by November 2. Boeing has not confirmed whether Lockbit was behind the incident. The company stated that the issue does not impact flight safety and is cooperating with law enforcement. The Lockbit threat is no longer on the gang's website, and it is unclear what data may have been stolen.
