Deutsche Bank settles €152m claim tied to Monte dei Paschi saga
Deutsche Bank reached a confidential €152m settlement with former banker Dario Schiraldi, part of six ex‑DB employees involved in the Monte dei Paschi di Siena affair. Schiraldi’s case was withdrawn and the settlement resolves one of several London and Frankfurt claims as the bank faces more than £600m in lawsuits from other ex-employees stemming from 2008 derivatives tied to MPS, with the bank saying the deal will have a small financial impact and aims to avoid ongoing costs.
