Darius Slay Calls It a Career After 13 NFL Seasons
Six-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay announced his retirement after 13 NFL seasons. A 2013 second‑round pick by Detroit, he became a game‑changing defender and earned first‑team All‑Pro honors in 2017 with 8 interceptions and 26 passes defended. After seven years with the Lions, he was traded to the Eagles in 2020, helped them reach the Super Bowl in 2022, and won a ring in 2024. He later had a one‑year stint with the Steelers in 2025, was waived, signed by the Bills but did not report, and has now official retirement at age 35.
