DOJ Probes Andreessen Horowitz for Conflicting AI Board Seats
The U.S. Justice Department is examining whether venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz violated antitrust rules by having partners serve on the boards of two competing AI/data companies, Databricks and Fivetran. The inquiry centers on interlocking directorates and could require directors to resign from one board, even as the Databricks–Fivetran deal that the DOJ previously reviewed was cleared. Andreessen Horowitz remains a major AI investor with significant assets under management and a broad portfolio in the space.
