Nor'easter Forces Full Cancellation of Oceans Calling 2026
Oceans Calling 2026 has been fully canceled after a nor'easter worsened, making it impossible to safely complete the festival build in Ocean City, Maryland. The decision wipes out all three days of the event, including performances by the Dave Matthews Band, Twenty One Pilots, and Mumford & Sons. Organizers cited high winds, coastal flooding, and beach erosion as the primary reasons for the cancellation, following National Weather Service guidance. All tickets purchased through the official vendor, Front Gate Tickets, will be fully refunded, replacing a previous partial refund policy for three-day passes. The cancellation marks the second time in the festival's history that weather has forced a complete shutdown, with the inaugural 2022 edition also canceled due to Hurricane Ian.
