China Urges Restoring Stability and Forging New Ties with the U.S. to Mitigate Risks

Mixed outlook for US stock market as experts predict both rallies and slides.

The chief market strategist at FS Investments, Troy Gayeski, has warned that the S&P 500 index could fall by about 22% over the coming quarters, and investors should start selling their holdings now. The benchmark index has risen by about 8% so far in 2023 on hopes that the Federal Reserve will soon end interest-rate increases. Gayeski has advised investors to use this bear market rally to de-risk in advance of potentially very painful losses over the next six, nine, 12 months.
