Collins to four Maine debates as Senate race heats up
Republican Sen. Susan Collins has agreed to participate in four debates with Democratic challenger Troy Jackson ahead of Maine’s November Senate race, though Jackson has not yet committed. The debates, hosted by local outlets and likely in a town-hall format, are being pushed quickly with Collins aiming to have the first one within two weeks. Collins, seeking a sixth term, remains a durable incumbent while Democrats hope Maine can be a path to flipping the Senate.
