Delaware tightens deer rules as CWD cases rise, drawing hunter questions
Georgetown officials and DNREC discuss new deer-hunting rules after a third chronic wasting disease (CWD) case in white-tailed deer; restrictions include no baiting in area No. 14 and surrounding zones to curb spread, and hunters who kill deer in the affected regions must leave the heads in designated freezers for CWD testing, with DNREC stressing that prevention is key even as some hunters seek clearer definitions.
