I Love Lucy Clinches TV Academy’s Inaugural Legacy Award at Emmys
The Television Academy will honor I Love Lucy as the first recipient of its Legacy Award, recognizing the show’s enduring impact on television—from shaping the sitcom blueprint to pioneering syndication. The award will be presented on Sept. 6 during the Emmys’ second night, chosen by the Academy’s Special Awards committee and Board of Governors.
