DiCaprio, Bezos Launch $200 Million Drive to Restore Endangered Species
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Re:wild and the Bezos Earth Fund have launched the Phoenix Species Project, a $200 million initiative to recover up to 100 endangered species across 30 countries, supported by Bezos’s fund and matching contributions from DiCaprio and partners; the effort will fund long-term recovery work with Indigenous communities, scientists, and IUCN as a global knowledge partner, aligning with CBD biodiversity targets.
