"Colorado Springs' Discovery Center Set to Unveil Exciting New Attraction"
The Space Foundation's Discovery Center in Colorado Springs is set to receive a $1 million full-scale model of the James Webb Space Telescope, gifted by Northrop Grumman. This addition is part of a larger remodel that includes a drone zone, 3D printing lab, and upgrades to existing displays. The center is scheduled to reopen on June 1 and will also benefit from a $150,000 grant from RTX (formerly Raytheon) to support education initiatives and free visits for K-12 students and teachers from Title 1 and military-connected schools in Colorado.
