Samsung ends Galaxy Z TriFold sales after brief, costly run
Samsung will reportedly discontinue the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea on March 17, about three months after its launch; in the U.S. it will remain available until existing inventory runs out. The device, priced around $2,899, sold out in limited batches and was never intended for mass production. Industry sources say rising DRAM and NAND costs left virtually no profit margin, making the TriFold more of a technology showcase than a revenue driver.
