Trespasser stopped at Kamala Harris's Malibu home as security debate intensifies
A trespasser was stopped by private security at former Vice President Kamala Harris's Malibu home on Friday night. Neither Harris nor her husband, Doug Emhoff, were present. Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person around 10:30 p.m. The individual left voluntarily without incident, and no arrests were made. Authorities said patrols in the area would increase as a precaution. The incident has renewed scrutiny over the security coverage for former vice presidents, especially after President Donald Trump canceled an extended protection detail for Harris in August 2025.
