Square Enix announced Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, a visually charming remake of the 2000 PlayStation game, featuring reimagined character designs, a new hand-crafted aesthetic, an expanded story involving traveling between two worlds, revamped gameplay with dynamic turn-based battles, and additional downloadable content, set to launch globally on February 5, 2026.
Square Enix revealed that the characters in the upcoming Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined for PS5 are based on real-life models scanned into the game to achieve a diorama-style look, with some content streamlined to make the game more approachable. The game will feature new gameplay options like dual vocations and is set to release on February 5th, with more details to come at the Tokyo Game Show.
