Jagex pulls RuneScape trailer after AI errors spark backlash
Jagex removed a promotional trailer for RuneScape 3's upcoming Dragon Slayer II quest after fans identified generative AI artifacts, including a knight with six fingers and anachronistic sneakers. The studio blamed an external partner who falsely confirmed no AI was used, marking the second such incident in recent weeks. Jagex has since overhauled its review processes and pledged to commission community creators for future content to ensure human craftsmanship.
