Three Unidentified Child Remains Found in Memphis Woods; Investigation Seeks Identities
Authorities in Memphis are investigating unidentified remains of three children, estimated to be 3–7 years old, found in a wooded area and a drainage pipe, suggesting the remains may have been there for years. A skull was found March 8, another skull April 1, and 14 bones were later recovered as about 170 personnel from multiple agencies—including the FBI—search the area for clues to identify the victims. The cause of death remains undetermined and the children were not reported missing in the Memphis area; investigators aim to identify them and bring closure to the case.
