Starbucks has launched a beta app inside ChatGPT to inspire customers’ drink orders; users enable the Starbucks app in ChatGPT and prompt with @Starbucks to get drink recommendations and customizable options, though final checkout remains on the Starbucks app or website. The move supports its Back to Starbucks turnaround to entice customers back (especially Gen Z), and follows AI initiatives like Green Dot Assist; Walmart, Etsy and Booking.com are also testing ChatGPT-based shopping.
