
Soho car attack leads to attempted murder charge and remand
Gabrielle Carrington, 29, of Manchester, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and related offences after a car struck pedestrians on Argyll Street in Soho, injuring several people including a security guard with life-changing injuries; she was remanded in custody with a next hearing set for 19 May at the Old Bailey. Her blood-alcohol level was 61 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, well above the 35 mcg/100ml limit.
