FDA Panel Unanimously Rejects Intarcia's Diabetes Treatment Implant
The FDA's Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee unanimously rejected Intarcia's ITCA 650, an implant for treating type 2 diabetes, stating that the benefits of the drug-device combination do not outweigh the associated risks, including acute kidney injury and major adverse cardiovascular events.
