Eastern NC is under a First Alert Weather Day for Monday as severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and hail are expected in the late afternoon and evening. The entire viewing area is under a Level 2 (Slight Risk) for severe thunderstorms. The storms will have plenty of energy to work with, including high amounts of instability, lift, and the heating of the day.
