Perseverance Explores Upper Fan in NASA Mission.
NASA's Perseverance rover is continuing its exploration of the Upper Fan on Mars, having recently driven to Echo Creek. The team has discovered interesting rocks, including a lumpy rock named "Blueberry Island", and is conducting both long distance and close-up measurements of Belva Crater. The rocks at Echo Creek may be similar to those found in the 'marginal fractured unit' or the curvilinear unit, and the team hopes to distinguish between these hypotheses. Perseverance is approaching the end of its Upper Fan campaign and will soon begin exploring the marginal units.
