Ugandan Journalist Crowned Tooro King Amid Heir Dispute
Edward Rukidi Kijanangoma, a 56-year-old former journalist, has been crowned the new king of Uganda's Tooro kingdom, succeeding the late King Oyo who died at 34. The coronation, attended by President Museveni, follows a bitter dispute where the royal clan bypassed a will naming an unpublicized son in favor of Kijanangoma, a cousin from the ruling Babiito lineage.
