Uganda’s youngest monarch Rukidi IV dies at 34, ending Guinness record
Rukidi IV, crowned at age 3 in 1995 as the world’s youngest reigning monarch of Uganda’s Tooro Kingdom, has died at 34 after an illness. The Tooro prime minister announced the death, noting the king had been critically ill and seeking treatment in the United States. He left an heir and continuity of the Crown is assured; Uganda remains a republic with symbolic traditional monarchies like Tooro.
