Smyth Crowned North America’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2026 as Calgary Debuts at No. 2
At the 2026 North America’s 50 Best Restaurants awards in New Orleans, Smyth in Chicago was crowned No. 1, Calgary’s Eight earned No. 2, and Restaurant Pearl Morissette in Lincoln, Ontario, Canada, came in at No. 3. Atomix fell to No. 7, and the top 10 also features Mon Lapin, Tanière3, and Dakar NOLA among others. The list includes 36 U.S. and 14 Canadian restaurants, with no Caribbean entries this year. Specialty awards went to Wildweed (One to Watch), Atelier Crenn (Sustainable Restaurant), Pearl Morissette (Art of Hospitality); Chef’s Choice Corey Lee (Benu); Champions of Change John Jones (Barbados); and Emeril Lagasse (Icon).
