75-vehicle I-70 crash near Eisenhower Tunnel leaves 19 hospitalized
A massive crash on eastbound I-70 near milepost 216 by the Eisenhower Tunnel in Clear Creek County involved at least 75 vehicles. Nineteen people with varying injuries were taken to hospitals; no fatalities were reported. The westbound left lane is closed for medical staging, the westbound right lane is moving slowly, and all eastbound lanes are expected to be closed for about 4–6 hours.
