Troopers Injured in Colorado Traffic Stop; Suspect Fatally Shot
Two Colorado State Patrol troopers were wounded during a traffic stop west of Woodland Park in Teller County; they self-transported to a hospital for treatment. The suspect fled on foot, was later shot and killed by authorities, and a shelter-in-place order for parts of the Westwood Lakes area was lifted. Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity or motive, and Governor Polis issued a statement of support for the troopers and their families.
