
Waxahachie mother charged with capital murder after shooting two sons
Colleen Nichole Lemmon, 42, has been charged with two counts of capital murder in Ellis County, Texas, following the fatal shootings of her two sons. Authorities responded to a 911 call in Waxahachie on October 1, 2026, and found Lemmon with non-life-threatening injuries and a handgun nearby. Her 21-year-old son, Christopher Scott Pitre, died at the scene, while his 15-year-old brother, Brian Pitre, died at a hospital. Lemmon reportedly admitted to officers that she shot both children.
