Far West Side shooting leaves two brothers dead as suspect faces capital murder charges
A San Antonio man, Daniel Antonio Perez, 40, is charged with capital murder in the fatal shooting of two brothers, Maliki Perales (11) and Drayven Quiroz (20), on the far West Side. He also faces aggravated assault counts; his combined bond is $2.3 million, and prosecutors say a second capital murder charge is expected. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on Acadian Drive; deputies recovered the gun nearby, and Perez surrendered after deputies located him by cellphone signal. A tentative court date is set for November 3.
