Perry ketamine scheme yields two-year federal sentence for counselor Erik Fleming
Erik Fleming, a licensed drug counselor who pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute ketamine tied to Matthew Perry’s death, was sentenced in a Los Angeles federal court to 24 months in prison with a $200 special assessment and a June 29 surrender date. Prosecutors had urged a longer term (30 months) while Fleming’s lawyers cited cooperation and remorse. Fleming sold 51 vials of ketamine to Perry in October 2023, including the portion that contributed to Perry’s death; Perry died of an accidental ketamine overdose with drowning and other factors noted by the medical examiner. Fleming cooperated with investigators; Jasveen Sangha, nicknamed the “Ketamine Queen,” was previously sentenced to 15 years, and two doctors connected to the case faced separate sentences.
