Sega revealed new DLC packs for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds at Summer Game Fest, including Godzilla and Evangelion, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coming in July and Avatar in October; Season Pass Two will add six DLC packs, with more details to come.
Square Enix unveiled Evercold, the sixth Final Fantasy XIV expansion, at the FFXIV Fan Festival 2026 with a January 2027 launch on PC/Mac/Steam/PlayStation/Xbox and an August Switch 2 release. The update adds two new jobs, raises the level cap to 110, introduces new cities and dungeons, a new raid series and Ultimate raid, PvP updates, and a major combat overhaul with Reborn and Evolved modes, plus broader system changes (seasons overhaul, Armoury, expanded customization). It also includes a crossover alliance raid with Evangelion (khara).
Tower of Fantasy is set to launch a crossover event with the Evangelion series in the first half of 2024, featuring characters like Shinji, Asuka, and Rei, as well as EVA units and Angels. The game's upcoming main update 3.6, scheduled for January 30, 2024, will introduce the Aquaville area and the SSR character Plotti. Originally available on mobile and PC, Tower of Fantasy came to Playstation consoles in August 2024, and the crossover event will be available on PC, mobile, and Playstation 4 and 5.
Asus has released a limited edition $700 ROG Maximus Z790 Hero EVA-02 motherboard in collaboration with the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, but it has a typo on the screen that reads "Evangenlion" instead of "Evangelion." While the mistake is embarrassing, some users find it endearing, likening it to a mistake the anime's main character, Shinji Ikari, would make. Players of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon are showcasing their creativity by designing impressive mechs inspired by popular franchises such as Gundam, Evangelion, and Kirby. The game's extensive paint and decal editors have allowed players to recreate iconic mechs like the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial and the Evangelion Unit-01, as well as create original designs like a Ken and Barbie-inspired mecha and a Ronald McDonald-themed tank. Other notable creations include a mecha modeled after a 2007 Toyota Camry and various mechs inspired by Nintendo, Warhammer 40,000, and popular Japanese characters.
Casetify is launching a new series of accessories for Apple devices based on the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. The collection includes iPhone cases, AirPods Pro cases, Apple Watch bands, and MagSafe chargers, all featuring designs inspired by the show. The highlight of the series is a limited-edition AirPods Pro case that transforms the case into a purple mecha head resembling Evangelion's Unit-01. The accessories will be available for purchase on July 20th, and a Tokyo exhibit will showcase the products from July 20th to 25th.
Casetify has collaborated with Studio Khara to release a new line of Evangelion-inspired iPhone and AirPods cases and chargers. The Project-CSTF: Protection from Impact series features impact-absorbing shielding to protect devices from falls, with designs inspired by Evangelion pilots and mechs. Additionally, a charging dock and an AirPods Pro case modeled after Eva Test Type-01's head will be available. To celebrate the collaboration, Casetify is hosting an outdoor exhibition in Japan until July 25th. Pricing details are yet to be announced, but interested fans can sign up for a waitlist and unlock digital replicas of the products using an AR marker card.
