Los Angeles has been ranked as the second-most expensive city in the United States, according to a survey by U.S. News and World Report. Three out of the top five cities on the list are located in Southern California, with San Diego taking the top spot. The survey is based on median gross rent and annual housing costs for mortgage-paying homeowners in each metro area.
