A private travels bus crashed into a median barrier on the Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway in India, resulting in a fiery inferno that killed at least 25 passengers, including women and a 2-year-old girl. Most of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition, and DNA identification tests will be required. The bus had rammed a pole and hit the median divider, causing it to fall on its side and block the main exit. The fuel spill ignited, engulfing the entire bus in flames. Eight survivors are recovering in hospitals. The cause of the accident is under investigation, with the driver claiming a tire burst, but authorities suspect driver fatigue or dizziness.
