US Air Force strengthens defense in Middle East with F-16 reinforcements
The US Air Force has deployed an additional squadron of F-16 Fighting Falcons to the Middle East in response to escalating tensions in the region. The New Jersey Air National Guard's 119th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron will provide contingency response capabilities and deterrence missions, supporting coalition leaders in directing air operations. This deployment comes as US troops have successfully thwarted recent drone attacks in the area and adds to the US presence in the region amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
