Fans Unleash a 2D Metroid Prime Demake for the 40th Anniversary
Fans released Metroid Prime Origins, a 2D demake of the 2002 GameCube classic Metroid Prime to celebrate Metroid’s 40th anniversary. Created by Lv. 4 Games over about three years with no AI involved, the project surfaced amid a removed trailer on YouTube. The team says they’ve not faced cease‑and‑desists, while Nintendo has offered no official acknowledgement of the milestone.
