Universal's Fast & Furious Coaster Opens Amid Noise Disputes
Universal Studios Hollywood officially opened its new Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster on September 17, 2026. The attraction features 4,100 feet of track, reaches 72 mph, and includes four inversions. While park executives celebrated the milestone as a major expansion, the opening was marred by the absence of franchise star Vin Diesel and ongoing complaints from nearby Toluca Lake residents regarding excessive noise. Universal has committed to additional sound barriers, but local opposition remains strong.
