
Dozens feared missing after Vanuatu ferry sinks in rough seas
A passenger ferry, MV Matui, sank off Santo to Ambae, Vanuatu, in very rough seas with more than 40 people aboard. One person is dead and over 30 are missing, while 15 have been accounted for alive and one body has been recovered. Search and rescue operations continue with international assistance, and a government investigation into possible negligence and overloading of the vessel has been opened.
