Microsoft has finally addressed a bug in Windows 11 that caused File Explorer to open automatically and steal focus from other apps. This issue, which had been reported by users for over a year, has been fixed with the December 2023 cumulative update (KB5033375). The bug, which caused File Explorer windows to appear in the foreground at random intervals, had been a source of frustration for many users and even led some to consider switching to other operating systems.
