Norwegian teen sentenced to 20 years for failed UK contract killing for Iran-linked gang
Johannes Kongsnes Natland, a 19-year-old Norwegian footballer, was sentenced to 20 years in detention for conspiracy to murder after traveling to the UK to kill an unidentified target for the Foxtrot gang. Recruited by a teenager known as 'Generalen' and controlled by a boss named 'Agent 47', Natland flew to Manchester in March 2025 with a temporary passport. He was arrested in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, two days after arrival, before he could identify or harm his victim. Police found him with a semi-automatic pistol, a revolver, live ammunition, and £2,000 in cash. Although he claimed he intended to shoot himself in the foot to escape the situation, the court rejected this defense, noting his excitement and active pursuit of the plan.
