Pentagon closes reporters' corridor as court orders NYT access reinstated
A federal judge ruled the Pentagon’s press-access policy violated journalists’ rights, ordering the reinstatement of NYT press credentials and the closure of the Pentagon’s longstanding Correspondents’ Corridor. Reporters will eventually work from an annex outside the building, with escorted access still required for some events, while the Defense Department appeals the ruling and other outlets continue reporting from outside the building.
