Monaco bombing unravels across Europe as suspect is found dead
A bomb exploded outside Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev’s Monaco home, injuring him and his partner. Authorities later identified Anastasiia Berezovska as the attacker, a Ukrainian woman with no known criminal record who fled across Europe before she was killed in a forest near Kyiv. Investigators say she acted as a paid foot soldier with alleged Ukrainian intelligence-linked accomplices, Vladyslav Reut and Vitaliy Zhykovych, who gave conflicting accounts. CCTV footage shows Berezovska spying on the target and placing a backpack at the doorstep; Reut has admitted involvement, while Zhykovych’s role is disputed. The case has raised questions about who ordered the hit and how wide the conspiracy extended across borders.
