Browns push five-year future draft-trade window while Steelers seek permanent direct talks with UFAs
The NFL is considering two team-proposed rules: the Browns want to extend the draft-pick trade window from three to five seasons ahead to improve roster-building flexibility, and the Steelers want to permanently allow one video or phone call (up to an hour) with up to five prospective unrestricted free agents during the two-day negotiation window, plus travel arrangements; no ban on the tush push is proposed, and competition committee proposals are expected next week.
